Broken. I think.
I can't remember ANYTHING. Except that I need to send off an email. So I'll come upstairs, spend an hour on the computer, and totally forget to send that email. I can't type (and in my normal sphere, I'm actually a great typist). And the word "forty" gets me every time I write out a check.
I forgot that we were supposed to go to a friend's house on Saturday. D'oh!
I feel like I have mentally checked out from my church calling.
I'll go into my craft room to start on a project, pull it all out, then just stare at it. What's wrong with me? Do I need to start taking herbal supplements? Is it the daily 5:30am wake up call from a baby who's just looking for a binky? Maybe it's this crappy rainy weather. I am so ready to be in shorts. Getting a sunburn while the kids play at the park.
Anybody have any suggestions to fix my brain?

Kids vs. Wild
Flashbacking to Easter weekend with my sister and her family, we decided to brave the chill and go out for a hike. It had been a while since we'd tackled Castlewood Canyon, so we headed out that'a way.
I tried my best to get a picture of all the older kids together. My nephew Parker just wouldn't have it, so we'll just have to imagine him in.

Ailee was a brave two year old, and walked most of the way herself. She loves keeping up with the older kids, but wasn't very keen on taking a picture.
Maryn is our champion hiker. Anything that involves the great out doors and the possibility of yummy snacks is right up her alley.
Maryn and Hailey were pretty inseparable during their visit. I love this picture of the two of them together.
And of course, our little Cora was pretty happy being strapped to her mama.
Our journey ended shortly after getting down into the canyon, as two little Roundy girls suddenly had to use the restroom. Peeing in the grass was out of the question. Kade ran back up the trail with the girls [and made it just in time!] while my sister and I walked back with the other little ones.
After the first picture, I told her to smile, so that she wouldn't look so scary:
Somewhere along the path, my niece, Paige, got a bloody nose. We aren't sure what triggered it, so we are just guessing it was the change in altitude/dry climate. She was a very good sport about it--it didn't seem to phase her at all. I had to get a quick picture before she got cleaned up:
Didn't quite work. (this picture makes me laugh!)
It was an enjoyable weekend, and fun to have family in town. The only thing I would have changed would be the weather. Colorado has great sunshine, and I think they came on the only overcast weekend. Cold weather or not, it was good to have them.

Drooling...
This week is Teachers Appreciation Week at school. Today, they are serving a lunch to the teachers, so I volunteered to make a dessert. Now, I'm not really one to get all excited about baking, but I recently purchased a cookbook. I think this is the first cookbook I've ever bought myself, and I've already used it several times...it's a good one. Anywho, I found a delicious looking picture of Mini Cheesecakes in the dessert section, so I thought I'd try them out.
It's odd. I made 24 of them, but only 23 made it to the school. Go figure.
They turned out fabulous:
Oh, delicious cheesecake. How I love thee.
