We are proud supporters of the fine arts. They enrich our lives, teach our children grace and poise. And make us crazy and empty our wallets.
These last 10 months, Ailee and Cora have been participating at local dance classes. The beginning was a little bumpy. Ailee in particular wasn't sure that she was up for the weekly classes and instruction. We walked around the studio for a few minutes one week and looked at all the pictures of past performers. I simply pointed out that they get to wear a pretty outfit in the end, and she reconsidered her opinion of dance class.
Last night was their recital. I think they really really enjoyed it. And by "it" I mean putting on makeup and pretty costumes.
Here's Cora, all dressed up for her first number, "Angel Baby."
I may be biased, but I thought she was the cutest angel out there.
Her second performance was just as cute. Lots of little girls in very pink, very fluffy costumes.
Cora, was the best and loudest singer (they sang along as they danced) on stage. Of course.
Ailee worked hard in her class. Here she is, all ready for her ballet performance. She was a big fan of the tiara.
She was a star on stage:
We captured a cute picture of Ailee and her little friend, Margaret before their rehearsal.
Their tap dance routine was fun to watch, and I was impressed with how well our little Ailee did.
We are so proud of our Tiny Dancers!
They worked hard and their efforts paid off.
