So, I need some help. I am trying out this little craft. I found a tutorial to make Bug Bows online, here. They are really cute and Maryn loves them. It's pretty easy to make the bugs, I'm just having a problem with the clip they are attached to. I've tried alligator clips covered in ribbon, using hot glue, but they seem bulky, don't stay in very well, and the hot glue makes a mess. So, I tried the flippy clips (used for the bugs shown in the picture). I covered those with a piece of felt, using hot glue. I liked how they looked and they work really well in Maryn's fine hair, but after a day in "Maryn the Warrior's" hair, the felt come unglued from the clip. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any glue recommendations? Alternative clips or ways to cover them?

Those are way cute -- I love them all. Is there a way to sew them onto the clips? When you said "snappy clips" did you mean the popper kind or the springy kind? Could you glue them to those pony holders that have the big balls on the ends? Just brainstorming :D
My favorite glue for making bows and stuff is called E-6000. You can get it at Wal-mart and it holds things like a champ. Way better then hot glue that often end up pealing off. So, that is my suggestion, hope it helps
I love the bows! You are so crafty. I would try to sew it on somehow too. I don't have much to say except they are cute and i want to make some now
A way to keep them in a little better is to glue a piece of the non skid stuff you would put in your drawers to them. Just cut it the same size as your alligator clip and glue it to the top. I use it on all of my bows and they don't move once they are in! It might work! Very cute I may have to make a few of my own!!
Those are so cute, Em... I didn't really have any suggestions for you, but it seems the people above have some good ones, that I, may in fact, try myself! :) I love the bug bows, though!!
